|Collector along with his 81year old mother cast vote|
The District Collector of Narsinghpur, Shri Deepak Saxena along with his 81 year old mother Smt. Gangadevi and wife Smt. Rachna Saxena reached polling booth no. 181 and exercised their voting right. He along with his family waited in voters' queue for their turn. After casting her vote, his mother Smt. Gangadevi said that all the voters should exercise their franchise necessarily.
100 year old Radhabai with help of walking stick reaches polling booth
With the help of walking stick, 100 year old Radhabai Dhanak reached polling booth no. 143 of Kanhargaon of Gadarwada assembly constituency of Narsinghpur district under the Hoshangabad parliamentary constituency and exercised her franchise. Voters standing in the queue were amazed by her spirit. Radhabai told the people that when she can come to cast her vote at this age and condition then all other people must also come to cast their vote.
Three assembly constituencies of Narsinghpur district i.e. Tendukheda, Gadarwada and Narsinghpur fall under the Hoshangabad parliamentary constituency, where election is taking place under the second phase in the state. Long queues of voters were seen from 7.00 in all these three assembly constituencies.
Divyang Icon Sushil Chand Gupta along with wife cast vote with help of Braille
Totally visually impaired Sushilchand Gupta has been made Divyang Icon for Narsinghpur district. Shri Gupta is well versed with Braille system. He along with his wife casted vote with the help of Braille system at the polling booth in Government Primary School Bhatia Tola of Narsinghpur assembly constituency. His wife is also an osteoporosis voter.
Shri Gupta said that good arrangements have been made in the district for voting. Facilities being given for divyangs are praiseworthy. Handicapped are not required to stand in queue to cast vote. He urged all the voters to reach polling booths and cast their votes.
